What Will You Be Doing?

Oversees line maintenance operations and supervises line maintenance personnel.

Essential Functions

  • Manage, monitor and coordinate SMS activities as directed, including development, implementation, maintenance, and integration of the SMS throughout Frontier.
  • Identify hazards and perform safety risk assessments including change management.
  • Ensure effectiveness of safety risk controls and promote safety.
  • Advise the accountable executive on SMS performance and needs for improvement.
  • Be accountable for achieving safety performance relative to job tasks.
  • Manage risk acceptable level: green or lower as defined by Frontier’s risk matrix.
  • Remove inoperative equipment from use, instruct proper tagging, and arrange repair or replacement.
  • Monitor maintenance activities to ensure high standards of quality and safety.
  • Determine work priorities on the shift and supervise maintenance on company and contract aircraft.
  • Provide timely and accurate aircraft status information.
  • Determine job standards, test personnel productivity, safety habits and workmanship.
  • Review and evaluate maintenance performance and administer corrective action when necessary.
  • Assist in policy formulation and in creating and administering department budget and performance commitments.
  • Assist with monthly/quarterly shelf-life audits at maintenance stations, as applicable.
  • Ensure tools and equipment meet safety standards per NBS or manufacturer specs.
  • Conduct lost and found tool investigations and complete reports.
  • Perform computer and administrative duties as assigned and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to airport and aircraft security regulations and report violations to management.
  • Perform Shift Turnover as required per GMM 10.09.
  • Audit and ensure accuracy of aircraft records (logbooks, work cards, non-routines, engineering documents, etc.) during RON and line maintenance.
