Building Maintenance Assistant, Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix Downtown

Must work the PM shift, 2pm-10pm/3pm-11pm on Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun, and work 1 to 2 other days a week either AM or PM shift.

Must have a minimum of 1 year of basic maintenance experience; hotel maintenance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to maintenance requests and support overall upkeep of the property.
  • Perform guest room preventative maintenance duties such as painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks, and HVAC cleaning.
  • Maintain grounds, landscaping, outbuildings, and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe, and attractive manner.
  • Assist in maintaining pool, spa, and general areas of the property according to local codes and brand standards.
  • Promptly respond to reports of guest problems and concerns.
Qualifications
  • Prior hotel, building, or apartment maintenance experience desirable but not required.
  • General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building construction.
  • Operation knowledge of common power and hand tools.
  • Ability to perform task‑oriented repetitive functions consistently, on time, and error‑free.
  • Patience and creative problem‑solving skills.
