The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a seasonal full-time Maintenance Laborer to join our team at Grand Canyon National Park in Grand Canyon, Arizona. As a Maintenance Laborer, you will be responsible for performing building maintenance duties.

What will you do?
  • Order parts and maintain inventory as directed
  • Complete basic repair of assigned equipment and follow safety procedures at all times
  • Perform lifting, shoveling, cleanup work, snow and ice removal, and painting
  • Remodel and repair wooden structures, buildings, and their furnishings
  • Operate small power tools, shovels, rakes, and other maintenance tools
  • Valid driver's license required
More about you
  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a maintenance or construction environment
  • Requires a driver's license and the ability to safely operate a company vehicle in inclement weather.
Physical requirements
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and paint
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and climb ladders to perform repairs
  • Ability to lift up to 85 pounds occasionally
