Maintenance Helper; Phoenix, AZ - Austin Industrial

This is a full‑time maintenance job working 40 hours a week (5/8s). No per diem.

• Escort & movement:
  Guide and accompany vendors, contractors, and visitors on‑site, ensuring they follow approved routes and remain within designated areas.
• Compliance enforcement:
  Ensure all visitors adhere to site rules, clearance requirements, and safety protocols.
• Incident reporting:
  Report suspicious or non‑compliant behavior immediately to supervisor or security.
• Coordination:
  Communicate effectively with security staff, vendors, and site management to coordinate escort schedules and procedures.
• Safety & risk mitigation:
  Maintain visibility of escorted individuals at all times; advise staff in adjacent areas about the presence of visitors and any precautions needed.
• Maintenance assistance:
  Assist maintenance personnel as needed with various maintenance tasks.
• Site cleanup:
  Pick up trash and debris as assigned.
• Physical requirements:
  
  Perform work wearing personal protective equipment, including rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air‑purifying respirators, safety harness, sand‑blast hoods, fire‑resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs, and safety glasses. Must have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, be able to reach overhead, work in various positions, and handle tools and controls.

• No minimum education required.
• 6+ months experience in an industrial setting preferred but not required.
• Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug test, and background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
