Distribution Center Maintenance Supervisor

Our Distribution Centers are hiring full-time associates for multiple roles to support the day, night, and weekend shifts. Pet Smart offers four 10‑hour weekday shifts or three 12‑hour weekend shifts.

Shifts vary by location: Morning Shift is Monday – Thursday from 5 am – 3:30 pm;
Afternoon/Evening shift is Monday–Thursday 4 pm – 2:30 am;
Weekend Shift is Friday – Sunday from 5 am – 5:30 pm.

The impact you’ll make

As a Distribution Center Maintenance Supervisor, you will work as an integral part of our supply chain leadership team. You'll have the opportunity to work in several business units such as order fill, replenishment, or fish warehouse.

  • Leading and developing a team of maintenance techs and senior techs
  • Managing performance and developing talent
  • Ensuring that assignments are accomplished on time, within agreed‑upon budget, and with a high degree of satisfaction to ensure a safe, clean and productive work environment
  • Providing support to all areas of the distribution center, prioritizing tasks and maintenance efficiently
  • Performing preventative maintenance checks on all equipment and repairing parts as needed
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot machine issues and have a working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, plumbing and overall facilities maintenance
  • Communicating to senior managers
What We’re Looking For
  • Passion for pets and people and the desire to grow a fulfilling career
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Apply basic instructions and procedures and respond to standard requests which may be written, oral, by headset or walkie talkie
  • Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull and carry and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable alternating between standing, sitting and walking for an entire shift which is typically 10–12 hours
  • Willing and able to operate powered industrial and mechanical equipment including but not limited to reach truck, standups, dock stocker and pushcarts
    * proper training and safety standards are provided
  • Work in various temperatures and noise levels
  • Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment where priorities can change quickly
