Location7400 W Buckeye Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85043 (on‑site)
Shift and HoursMonday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (hours may change)
CompensationHourly $32.31 – $48.46 with potential for shifting differentials, overtime, and other compensation.
Job SummaryThe Fleet Maintenance Technician Lead ensures all fleet trailer equipment is inspected, maintained, and repaired in accordance with federal, state, and company standards. The Lead supervises Fleet Maintenance Technicians I and II and maintains a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company safety policies.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on fleet trailer equipment.
- Supervise Fleet Maintenance Technicians I and II.
- Collaborate with Safety Department leadership to ensure compliance with safety programs.
- Travel by personal or company vehicle as required.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by management.
- High school diploma or GED (college degree strongly preferred).
- Five+ years of experience as a semi‑trailer maintenance technician.
- Three years of leadership experience.
- Knowledge of semi‑trailer and conveyor systems and controls.
- Basic understanding of industrial electrical and industrial controls.
- Experience with preventive maintenance procedures, including 90‑day bit inspections.
- Ability to adhere to OnTrac's security guidelines.

Physical Requirements
- Regular talking, listening, standing, walking, sitting, and hand use.
- High physical activity: lift, push, pull, move items averaging 50 lbs, occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Vision: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, focus.
- Learn and follow safety regulations and job instructions.
- Apply mechanical work experience and OSHA knowledge.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to support 24‑hour operations, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Remain dependable and adaptable to staffing and workload changes.
