Janitor – Full-Time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 /hr.

Schedule: Days Varied / 2:00PM to 10:30PM

Location: Independent Living - Sagewood

Vaccination: FLU Vaccination required

Your role will be responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of all carpets and floors within our community in addition to other custodial tasks.

• Someone who can understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively. 6 months of hard floor and carpet care preferred but not required.
• Someone who has a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (this position drives a golf cart)
• Has knowledge of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals/solvents and demonstrated ability to work safely with them
• Can learn the methods of cleaning and caring for buildings and equipment.
• Work as a team member in a structured working environment.
• Complete work on time and done right.
  • Can handle multiple tasks and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the workday. Must be able to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to stoop and work from a kneeling position; perform repetitive bending, reaching, and stretching. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently. Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
