Insight Global is seeking a Senior Controls Technician in Phoenix, AZ to join a top-tier commercial HVAC and building automation client. This individual will support the operations, field technicians, and sales departments to ensure quality project execution. This role requires in office work in Phoenix, AZ 85085 as well as field-based work in the Phoenix metro.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with Operations to understand customer/project needs.
- Possess advanced knowledge of HVAC control systems, including troubleshooting, installation, start-up, and commissioning, with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage control components.
- Independently execute all fieldwork with minimal supervision, maintaining high standards of quality and adhering to project timelines and budgets.
- Provide mentorship to fellow technicians across all aspects of project execution.
- Review mechanical plans and control submittals to proactively identify potential issues related to devices, wiring, or operational sequences.
- Accurately document changes and contribute to the development of as-built documentation and proper project billing.
- Keep management and project teams informed of job progress and proactively communicate any potential challenges or issues.
- Lead customer training sessions upon project completion, ensuring clear understanding and satisfaction.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC/Building Automation.
- Experience acting in a leadership capacity and owning partial/whole projects post design
- Ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record and operate a company vehicle.
- Associates Degree, Trade Degree, or equivalent military education/training program in related
