Custodial Technician; part-time

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and stocked facility.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs and waxes floors, stairs, and horizontal surfaces.
• Vacuum carpeting and furnishings.
• Dust furniture and décor.
• Clean and polish glass tables, doors, mirrors, and similar surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including appliances, surfaces and cabinet interior.
• Collect and dispose of trash and debris inside the facility.
• Replace burned out light bulbs inside the facility.
• Maintain clean entry doors, removing dust, bugs, and webbing.
• Sweep or vacuum exterior entry mats.
• Straighten and rearrange furniture; may spot clean fabrics to remove stains.
• Maintain all facial tissue dispensers and water dispensers; replenish supplies on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain an adequate supply of kitchen and cleaning supplies; order supplies or advise management of need to re-order.
• Notify management of any emergency maintenance issues.
• May set up and clean up for team meetings or events, including disposing of food and waste.
• May assist in setting up and arranging for chapel services or delivering floral tributes to visitation areas and chapel.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  No previous experience required.

• Physically agile and dexterous.
• Proficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents.
• Proficient with handling basic maintenance repairs.
• Resilient to cleaning compounds and solutions.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and take appropriate cautions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
