Position SummaryThe Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout designated airport areas. Duties include general cleaning, disinfecting, and upkeep of airport facilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- General cleaning and disinfecting of offices and airport facilities
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Dusting surfaces
- Emptying trash cans and disposing of waste properly
- Cleaning and maintaining jet bridges
- Cleaning stairways
- Cleaning gate areas
- Following all company safety procedures and airport security requirements
Must be able to lift, squat, stoop, push, stand, and bend throughout the course of a shift. Must be able to lift, carry, and/or hold 10–20 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesHigh School Diploma or equivalent may be required in some locations. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have reliable transportation. Must have a reliable telephone number for contact purposes. Ability to read, write, speak, and follow verbal and written instructions in English. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening (DOT or Non-DOT, as applicable) and comply with random testing requirements.
