Heavy Duty Cleaner — 2nd Shift

The Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for major cleaning projects and industrial sanitation tasks that require physical strength and specialized machinery. Unlike standard cleaners who focus on surface hygiene, this role involves deep cleaning operations such as floor stripping and waxing, construction cleanup, high-pressure washing, and the removal of heavy debris.

• Hard Floor Specialist:
  Strip, wax, seal, and polish hard floors using industrial buffers and auto-scrubbers; restore flooring to original condition.
• Carpet Restoration:
  Operate steam cleaners and extractors for deep carpet cleaning and stain removal.
• Industrial Cleaning:
  Clean and degrease machinery, warehouse floors, and loading docks; use high-pressure washers for exterior walls or concrete.
• High-Level Cleaning:
  Clean vents, ceilings, and light fixtures that require the use of tall ladders or scissor lifts.
• Heavy Waste Removal:
  Collect and transport bulk refuse, construction debris, or hazardous waste to designated disposal units.
• Project Work:
  Perform seasonal deep cleans (e.g., in schools during summer breaks) or post-construction cleanup.

• Physical Strength:
  Ability to lift significantly heavier loads (often 50–75+ lbs) and manage physically exhausting tasks for extended periods.
• Machinery Expertise:
  Certification or experience in operating floor scrubbers, polishers, pressure washers, and potentially scissor lifts.
• Chemical Safety:
  Advanced knowledge of strong solvents, stripping agents, and degreasers; strict adherence to safety protocols (PPE).
• Endurance:
  Capable of working in challenging environments, including areas with temperature extremes, noise, or dust.
