DESCRIPTION:
A Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Equipment Coating Department by managing work requests, maintaining maintenance records, tracking spare parts and consumables, and supporting purchasing activities. This role helps ensure maintenance information is accurate, inventory is available when needed, and equipment issues are properly documented to support efficient department operations and minimize downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:- Manage and track maintenance work requests from creation through completion.
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, equipment files, and departmental documentation.
- Create and maintain spare parts lists, inventory records, and equipment-related documentation.
- Monitor spare parts and consumable inventory levels to ensure materials are available to support maintenance activities.
- Ensure inventory transactions are properly entered into and maintained within company systems.
- Coordinate the ordering of spare parts, consumables, tools, and maintenance-related supplies.
- Track purchase orders and follow-up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Maintain logs of equipment issues, repairs, downtime events, and corrective actions.
- Support preventive maintenance programs by maintaining schedules, records, and related documentation.
- Generate reports related to maintenance activities, inventory status, equipment history, and spare parts usage.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians, production personnel, engineering, purchasing, and vendors to support maintenance requirements and department objectives.
- Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.
- Support and maintain 6S standards by ensuring maintenance areas, spare parts storage locations, inventory areas, and work spaces remain clean, organized, and properly maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping and documentation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and inventory tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment, maintenance processes, inventory control, and purchasing practices preferred.
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma, GED equivalent.
- 1 year experience in maintenance support, inventory control, purchasing, manufacturing support, or a related field preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, and math.
- Computer proficiency (Excel, Word).
- Experience with inventory management, purchasing systems, or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
- Self-directed, well organized, and motivated.
- High attention to detail.
- Must be reliable and have excellent attendance.
- Standing for extended periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, use hands to finger, handle or feel parts; reach with hands and arms; and talk and/or hear instructions.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to differentiate shades and color to identify coating defects.
- Near acuity or accommodation required for reading instrumentation and documentation, inventory records, labels, computer screens, blueprints, schematics, and equipment information.
- Ability to handle delicate parts.
- Regularly exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts, ovens, and risk of burns.
- Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
- The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to hazardous materials commonly used in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses and shoes, gloves, ear plugs/covers, mask,…
