Head Custodian

The Pickerington Local School District (PLSD) is seeking interested applicants for a Head Custodian position at Dilley Middle School.

This is a 12 month position working 1st shift hours (6:30am - 3:00pm).

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or GED equivalency

* Previous custodial work experience preferred

* Ability to maintain care of buildings, grounds and equipment

* Experience with operating heating and ventilating equipment

* Ability to read basic operating instructions

* Ability to communicate and work well with others

* Knowledge and/or ability to learn technical building systems

* Ability to lift, push, pull or carry 80 pounds

* Ability to perform manual labor for long periods of time

* Demonstrates aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned

* Ability to assist principal/supervisor in creating a safe, clean, positive and comfortable environment

* Ability to lead and give instruction to custodians on all working shifts

* Ability to follow directions and a strong desire to succeed

* Must be friendly, dependable and exhibit a strong work ethic

* Ability to maintain and respect confidential information and situations

* Ability to work well with students, staff and parents of diverse population
