As a Building Manager, you will guide and support custodial staff while helping maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of state buildings. This role also performs minor maintenance and repairs that do not require specialized licensing or technical certification. This position works Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Licenses And CertificationsA valid SD Driver License
The Ideal Candidate Will Have- a minimum of two years building maintenance or institutional cleaning experience and strong organizational and communication skills.
- building cleaning techniques;
- proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies;
- routine carpentry, electrical, plumbing and maintenance work.
- establish and maintain effective supervisory relationships;
- plan and schedule work;
- motivate and train other staff;
- operate and repair cleaning equipment.
- perform heavy lifting and physical labor;
- use a variety of hand and power tools;
- work from ladders.
This position is eligible for Veterans’ Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
