The Campus Engagement Crew Member supports campus life by officiating intramural sports, assisting with event production, and overseeing the Student Lounge. They help ensure events run smoothly, provide a welcoming presence, and maintain student spaces. This role offers hands-on experience in teamwork, leadership, and campus engagement while developing practical event management and customer service skills.
Responsibilities And Career Competencies- Officiate intramural games, maintaining safety, fairness, and fun – C, TW, CSD, CTR, L
- Assist with setup, breakdown, and equipment management for games – C, TW
- Keep accurate records of participation, scores, and incidents – CSD, CT, CTR
- Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants – TW, P, CSD, CTR
- Assist with the physical setup and teardown of campus events – C, TW
- Operate basic event technology after training (sound systems, lights, etc.) – C, TW, CT, T
- Provide on-site support to ensure smooth event execution – C, TW, P, CTR, L
- Serve as a campus ambassador, offering assistance and direction to attendees – TW, CSD, CT, L
- Monitor and manage the Student Lounge during scheduled hours – C, P
- Check out equipment and supplies; maintain cleanliness and safety – P, CTR, T
- Engage with students to promote upcoming programs and services – C, TW, P, L

Must be a current UPIKE student in good standing.

Work Schedule:
Weekly hours will range from 2 to 6, depending on event and game schedules. Student Lounge coverage will account for up to 2 of those hours weekly. Schedules are variable (day, evening, weekends) and require open communication with the supervisor to coordinate availability.

Physical Demands:
Keyboarding; reaching/handling; stooping/kneeling; crouching/crawling; pushing up to 30 lbs; pulling up to 30 lbs; lifting up to 50 lbs.
