General Maintenance Technician

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm and work as needed

General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of critical tasks including troubleshooting and repairing multiple building/facilities items such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic tube system, hospital beds, and nurse call systems. The role ensures completion of assigned preventive maintenance tasks and coordinates specific craft activities with other Facilities Management team members.

• Education:
  
  High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in building/facilities maintenance preferred.
• General maintenance repairs, familiarity with safety procedures, and training in safe operation of building maintenance equipment and handling of related chemicals such as solvents/degreasers.
• Coordination of repairs/work in departments and reporting status to involved parties.
• Troubleshooting and repairing – determine root causes of operating errors and repair facilities equipment or systems using necessary tools.
• Ability to provide legible, detailed and accurate information on work orders/preventive maintenance forms.
• Complete maintenance tasks, facility preventative and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Maintain facility areas including patient rooms and common areas.
• Maintain records, update CMMS documentation, required maintenance logs, documents, manuals, drawings, and PM logs.
• Report to supervisor on a regular basis (daily) on conditions relative to general operations, safety, and day‑to‑day activities in the facility.
• Attend daily huddles with team during shift.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi‑weekly.
