Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to greet and direct guests to resort amenities and to load and unload their golf bags.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) as a minimum. Students currently enrolled in High School who are working part time while attending school are an exception.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive a company vehicle and/or company‑insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, with successful completion of a pre‑employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals, and markings, use a seat belt, and follow company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy.

    Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely; report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
  • Greet and direct guests and members to resort amenities.
  • Retrieve and load golf bags for play.
  • Clean clubs and transport clubs to storage area upon completion of play.
  • Maintain a visible presence at bag drop.
  • Perform assigned cleaning duties.
  • Assist Golf Professionals with staging for corporate group outings.
  • Assist guests with transportation needs.
  • Unload and load guests/members golf bags and shoes.
  • Assist with directions upon departure.
  • Transport bags to and from Club Storage and special event staging area.
  • Inspect and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Set up and break down driving range.
  • Pick up driving range.
  • Wash golf carts.
  • Detail and perform routine maintenance on golf carts.
  • Wash range balls.
  • Cross‑train in other areas when requested by supervisor.
  • Be trained and certified in CPR and AED on a bi‑yearly basis. Training will be provided by the Resort.
  • Must be aware of surroundings with an understanding of a golf environment. Must have the ability to see and react to the surroundings, including errant golf balls, and must understand and follow proper golf etiquette while completing tasks.
Physical Demands

Performing the duties of this job requires the employee to regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to endure extended periods of standing and walking and occasionally sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, occasional wet or humid conditions, extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, and a moderate noise level.
