Job OverviewTest lab technician supports product development and improvement by building, servicing, troubleshooting, fabricating, and testing pumps, pump systems and components. Responsibilities include analysis of test results and teardown evaluations.
Responsibilities and Duties- Test pumps and pump components per lab schedule.
- Plumb and wire pumps for testing.
- Operate test equipment.
- Tabulate and report test results.
- Fabricate components and fixtures for testing.
- Analyze test results.
- Tear down and rebuild pumps.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot pumps.
- Utilize basic MS Office applications.
- Follow work instructions and create new instructions where none exist.
- Perform minimal travel (less than 5%).
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Three to five years related experience or two‑year associate degree plus one to three years related experience.
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Understanding of AC and DC power systems, electrical schematics, and ladder logic.
- Machinist skills preferred.
- Familiarity with pumps and pump systems.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Physical requirements:
lift up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs about two‑thirds of the time, and up to 100 lbs about one‑third of the time; reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, and balance required. Heavy loads assisted by cranes, hoist, or forklift.
