Overnight Cleaner Atterbury Hotel

Job Overview

Maintain all floors in a clean and sanitary condition in public areas and hotel work areas according to standard procedures in a safe, accident-free manner, as assigned by management.

Sweep, strip, mop, wax and buff floors, and set-up wet floor signs to ensure guest safety.

Vacuum carpeting.

Remove stains from carpets and floors.

Remove trash to dumpster.

Notify housekeeping office of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed, damages in carpeting or floor covering and update housekeeping management on the progress and status of area of responsibility.

Report safety hazards or theft of hotel property to director of services.

Knowledge/Skills

• Ability to meet cleaning standards.
• Basic understanding of cleaning methods, cleaning implements and chemicals

• Lifting cleaning supplies
  -30 lbs., pushing and pulling equipment
  -30-50 lbs., carrying supplies
  -30 lbs. (All done frequently during shift).
• Bending to start machines and load chemicals
  -done frequently during shift.
• Must be able to be on feet and walk behind floor care equipment for 8 hour shift. No continuous standing required.
• No driving required.

Environment

Prolonged strenuous physical activity in indoor climate-controlled environment. Excessive heat and humidity in laundry. Inside 95% of shift inside 95% of shift.
