Position: AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR with Security Clearance
Duties As an , AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, WS-8602-10, you will plan weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations. Assign tasks to be performed. Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures. Recommend and participate in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies. Schedule and approve leave of subordinates. Perform the non-supervisory work of the Propulsion Element. Implement safety regulatory requirements.

Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment

Currently employed permanent technician selected will occupy this position as a Promotion not to exceed or Reassignment as appropriate in their present status. INDEFINITE:
Indefinite employment status pertains to applicant nominated, who are not a currently employed permanent technician. Indefinite appointments may acquire permanent status depending upon future force structure requirements; indefinite appointments do not serve a trial period. Indefinite appointments may be separated when their services are no longer needed or when funding is no longer available via a 30-day termination notice. Experience or training performing standard, routine assembly and disassembly operations and making prescribed modifications to aircraft engines, engine assemblies, and accessories. Experience or training performing maintenance overhaul, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft engines, engine components, and power trains for fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft.
