Position: Floor & Project Technician (Housekeeping) 2nd Shift

UPMC Passavant-McCandless, an ANCC Magnet® designated hospital, is hiring a Full‑Time Floor & Project Technician to support our Housekeeping team. This is a great opportunity for candidates who want dependable work, a supportive environment, and room to grow. Title and pay are based on your experience and education.

Schedule:

2nd shift 2pm-11pm

What You'll Do:

+ Handle emergency cleanups with proper sanitizing procedures

+ Shampoo and extract carpets in assigned areas

+ Maintain floors by removing soil, wax, and sealers

+ Inspect your assigned areas and report any issues to your supervisor

+ Use and care for equipment safely and responsibly

+ Follow safety and sanitation standards to keep our patients, visitors, and staff safe

+ Work within hospital policies and support system‑wide behaviors

+ Perform other duties as needed to support the team

+ HS Diploma/GED OR

+ 1 YR previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED OR

+ successful completion of the 5-week EVS training program

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.

+ Ability to use all housekeeping equipment.

+ May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored.

+ No contact with medications is allowed.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ Act 34
