Janitorial Specialist

Brightside Academy is looking for a dependable Janitorial Specialist to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and team members.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 1 year of experience in commercial cleaning or similar

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Able to manage cleaning tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Familiar with safe chemical use and storage practices

• Strong time-management and organization skills

• Able to lift, move, and handle cleaning equipment as needed

• Ability to pass required background checks

• Clean classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, shampoo, and maintain floors

• Replenish cleaning products, paper goods, and classroom supplies

• Remove trash and prepare containers for pickup

• Operate custodial equipment safely

• Maintain cleaning inventory and request supplies as needed

• Clean windows, furniture, fixtures, vents, and academy grounds

• Support snow and ice removal when needed

• Assist with academy opening and closing tasks

• Follow OSHA, safety, Brightside, and regulatory requirements
