Position: PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties As a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST, GS-0080-09, you will be responsible for the management and administration of the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) program. Responsible for the management and administration of the physical access control systems (i.e. Defense Biometrics Identification System - DBIDS). Perform administrative office support functions and develops, coordinates, and publishes all SF installation level publications to include the Installation Security Plan, the Installation Security Instruction, and SF annexes to all installation plans.

Perform installation security duties. Leads and manages SF programs designed to provide a secure mission environment. Manage police services. Manage Security Forces Management Information System (SFMIS). Perform and enforce the full range of SF duties within the military installation. Perform other duties as assigned. Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE :

- All Series GS-0080 personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level. Each applicant must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career level, as cited on page two. Applicants must have the experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability or have endorsements that indicate the ability to learn and perform the cited position's duties. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
Applicant must indicate at least 24 months knowledge on the management and administration of the Intrusion Detection System program. Experienced in advising supervisor of any base or site activities that may impact the Integrated Base Defense Security Systems program. Skilled in completing reports and documents the Intrusion Detection System program maintenance requirements to the servicing maintenance organization. Experienced in monitoring Intrusion Detection System false and nuisance alarms and knowledgeable on how to request assistance from the maintenance organization to resolve problems and deficiency.
