Are you looking for a dynamic role where every day brings new experiences and opportunities to make a meaningful impact? UPMC is seeking dedicated and adaptable individuals to join our Environmental Services Float Pool, supporting multiple hospital campuses, including UPMC Mercy, UPMC Montefiore, UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital, UPMC Presbyterian, and UPMC Shadyside. In this unique role, your assignments will vary based on the needs of the individual hospitals.

You'll play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors, while gaining exposure to a variety of hospital settings and teams.

Responsibilities:

+ Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.

+ Remove trash from all assigned areas.

+ Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.

+ Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.

+ Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.

+ Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.

+ Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.

+ Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.

+ Ability to use housekeeping equipment.

+ May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored.

+ No contact with medications is allowed.
