Position Summary

The Bousquet Mountain Ski  Area Grooming Supervisor oversees all mountain grooming operations, including personnel management, equipment operation, maintenance coordination, and snow surface quality. This position ensures ski trails are groomed to the highest standards whilemaintainingsafety, operational efficiency, and environmental stewardship. The Grooming Supervisor works closely with Mountain Operations, Snow making, Patrol, and Maintenance departments to deliverexceptionalguest experience.

This is a seasonal full-time position with potential for overtime.

• Plan, prioritize, and supervise daily and nightly grooming operations.
• Providessupervision to Snowcat Operators, Grooming Crew leads, and Seasonal Grooming Staff.
• Operate snowcats and other grooming equipment as needed.
• Monitor snow conditions anddeterminegrooming strategies tooptimizetrail quality.
• Coordinate with Snow making, Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, and Mountain Managementregardingtrail conditions and operational needs.
• Conduct regular inspections oftrailsto ensure grooming standards and guest safety requirements are met.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with the Maintenance Manager.
• Enforce company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Maintainaccuraterecords of grooming activities, equipment usage, fuel consumption, and staffing.
• Assistin budgeting, inventory control, and capital equipment planning.
• Respondto operational emergencies and changing weather conditions.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimumof 3years of ski area grooming experience.
• Previous experience operating snow grooming equipment (Pisten Bully,Prinoth, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Mustpossessand maintain a valid driver’s licenseandmeetcompany insurability requirements.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during the winter season.

Preferred

• Associate or bachelor’sdegree in business, recreation management, forestry, or related field.
• Advanced snowcat operation certification.
• Experience with GPS-guided grooming systems.
• Knowledge of snow making operations and mountain maintenance.

• Thorough understanding of ski trail design, snow conditions, and grooming techniques.
• Ability to make sound decisions under changing weather and operational conditions.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of heavy equipment operations.

• Proficiency with grooming technology, GPS systems, and computerized reporting tools.
• Commitment to safety and guest service excellence.

Physical Requirements& Environment

• Ability to work outdoors in extreme winter weather conditions.
• Ability to sit for extended periodswhile operatinggrooming equipment.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks associated with equipment inspections and minor repairs.
• Ability tooperateheavy machinery on steep and uneven terrain.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and manage irregular schedules.

Compensation:

Competitive salary $25-$28/hourbased on experience, plus ski pass, employee discounts, and seasonal benefits where applicable.
