Facilities Management Support Associate

Carry out all general maintenance, janitorial and repair work necessary to operate buildings. Applies specialized knowledge and expertise across multiple disciplines to ensure an efficient and safe workplace. Minimizes business interruptions.

• Performs day-to-day repair work on a variety of building physical structure. Painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, cement work, roofing, and related work
• Repairs structures; repairs and installs furniture and equipment; installs floor coverings, acoustical ceilings, and window glass; repairs roofs, floors, doors, locks, and related items
• Coordinate conference room set ups. Take lead role in training of new employees
• Performs electrical repairs such as replacing switches and minor wiring; repairs kitchen equipment; repairs faucets, sewers, plumbing, and minor HVAC equipment.
• Monitors operation of the mechanical/electrical operating equipment.
• Assist facility manager with WO processing
• Assist in the scheduling of repairs
• Operate life safety/fires systems
• Assist Mechanics with PM of electrical and mechanical systems
• Other duties as assigned
• Respond to emergencies

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Minimum of 4-year previous facilities maintenance janitorial/engineering experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as a team member in a demanding service environment
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Some knowledge of computers preferred

Education/

Experience:

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Prefer also Armed forces experience
• Prefer Corporate Level Facilities experience
