Position
Substitute Custodian
CompensationHourly rate of $15.00 per hour
Hours- 8‑hour shifts (AM and PM)
- Up to 800 hours per school year
- Cleaning of classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, gyms, bathrooms, offices and other rooms within a school or office site, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc.
- Set ups and take downs which may include moving furniture, chairs, tables and other large items
- Trash removal
- Other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor
- Flexibility to work at multiple sites
- Ability to accept work on short notice
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to be standing/walking for 4 to 8 hours
- Ability to push/pull garbage containers and janitorial equipment (vacuums, carts, garbage cans, etc.)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to relate/work with school staff
- Excellent work ethics
- Valid Illinois Driver’s License
