Janitorial Supervisor

ABM Industries is hiring a Back Half Day Janitorial Supervisor to lead cleaning operations for commercial facilities. This role oversees janitorial staff, assigns daily tasks, trains new team members, and ensures consistent quality and safety standards. The supervisor inspects work areas, manages supplies and equipment, and responds promptly to client requests or issues. Responsibilities include enforcing safety protocols, tracking attendance and performance, and supporting schedule and shift coverage.

The ideal candidate has prior janitorial and supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining clean, safe environments for clients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support janitorial staff during back half day shifts
• Assign daily cleaning tasks and adjust workloads as needed
• Train new team members on cleaning procedures and safety standards
• Inspect facilities to ensure quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are met
• Monitor use of supplies and equipment and request replenishment as needed
• Respond to client requests, issues, and feedback in a timely manner
• Enforce company safety policies and procedures for all team members
• Track attendance, performance, and report issues to management
• Coordinate schedules, shift coverage, and time-off requests
• Collaborate with management to improve processes and service quality
