• Monitors and provides appropriate documentation of subordinates' performance; assists in the preparation of written performance evaluations.
• Plans and monitors the status of the daily and weekly work activities of subordinates; documents work activities in the city's management software system.
• Secures necessary supplies and equipment for specific projects and assists in purchasing responsibilities.
• Maintains appropriate written records of labor, materials, and equipment.
• Assists in the investigation of and response to citizen complaints/inquiries.
• May be subject to on-call duty.
• Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule is essential.
• Facilitates trades involved in maintaining parks, Infrastructure- electrical, plumbing, structures, forestry, trails, and median/rights-of-way. Essential job functions include litter removal, restroom cleaning, horticultural activities, electrical, plumbing repairs, fabrication and construction as well as special event support, and renovation projects.
• May coordinate cloud-based control systems for site-based utility operation in accordance with parks use schedules.

• Participates in and leads the work of a specific functional area, forestry operations, plumbing inspection and repair, Trail maintenance and repair, Metal fabrication and installations, electrical inspection and repair, playground safety, repairs, and others related to parks infrastructure.
• May assist in the development of watering programs to provide appropriate level of precipitation to a variety of plant materials.
• Assists in the investigation of and response to citizen complaints/inquiries.
• Welds, fabricates, installs, and repairs various components related to infrastructure.
• May be subject to on-call duty.
• The incumbent must assist technicians in developing work priorities within the current demands on services and oversee the work of assigned personnel and evaluate employee performance against established standards.
• Provides general supervision to assigned staff and contractual services; aids in performing payroll entry when needed for assigned staff.
• May maintain and repair small, motorized equipment departmental assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

Knowledge of: Current safety standards related to playground structures, fall surfaces, and surrounding areas; construction means and methods; plumbing system and electrical installation, maintenance repairs and operations; playground equipment maintenance repair; troubleshoot parks equipment; and basic construction knowledge.

Skill in: Communicating clearly both verbally and in writing; operating a personal computer using Microsoft Office applications.
