Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Janitor to join our team. In this role, you will perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, organized, and inviting environment for our clients and staff. Your contributions will be essential in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures, ensuring they are well‑stocked with necessary supplies.
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins, following proper waste management procedures.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to maintain a polished appearance.
- Maintain and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying the supervisor of any low stock or equipment issues.
- Assist in setting up meeting rooms and event spaces as needed.
- Ensure common areas, such as hallways and reception areas, are always clean and presentable.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services is an asset.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Understanding of health and safety practices in a cleaning environment.
