About the RoleAs a Floating Maintenance Technician II, you will ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of multiple residential communities in the Dallas/Plano, TX region. Your work will directly affect the quality of life for our residents.
What You’ll Do- Maintenance & Repairs
:
Perform daily maintenance and repairs in electrical, plumbing, and appliances. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot technical issues. - Apartment Preparation
:
Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using the Make Ready Checklist and ensure units meet Fairfield quality standards. - Safety & Compliance
:
Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness. Follow safe work practices and participate in training. - Communication & Reporting
:
Communicate with vendors and contractors, and report inventory needs and potential liabilities.

What We’re Looking For- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Minimum one year of experience in property management maintenance, building maintenance, or related trade
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- General computer skills, including operation of a mobile device
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills
- Superior customer service skills and ability to manage difficult customers
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Availability to be on‑call for after‑hours emergencies
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Hourly pay range: $24.18 – $27.04
