Job DescriptionAre You Ready To Put Your Experience To Work While Leading a Skilled Team That Keeps Plano’s Essential Water And Sewer Systems Operating At Their Best? The City Of Plano Is Seeking An Experienced, Dependable, And Motivated Public Works Crew Leader To Join Our Team Of Well-trained Professionals. In This Hands-on Leadership Role, You’ll Work Alongside Your Crew To Coordinate Daily Activities, Provide Guidance And Direction, And Ensure Work Is Completed Safely And Efficiently.
This Position Involves Moderate Physical Labor Outdoors In All Types Of Weather And Is Ideal For Someone Who Takes Pride In Their Work, Enjoys Leading And Developing Others, And Wants To Make a Direct Impact On the Essential Services Our Community Relies On Every Day.
- Flushing dead-end water mains
- Flushing fire hydrants
- Checking chlorine residuals
- Resolving residential and commercial sewer stoppages
- Water and sewer system repairs and training
But the majority of the position will be leading a crew in a Jet Truck for routine sewer system cleaning.
Rate And CompensationThe hourly rate for the Public Works Crew Leader I is $25.21 - $31.51 per hour
The hourly rate for the Public Works Crew Leader II is $26.47 - $33.09 per hour
The hourly rate for the Senior Public Works Crew Leader is $29.18 - $36.48 per hour
