We are seeking an experienced Facilities Operator to support the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of critical facility systems in Farmersville, TX.
This is a hands-on operations and maintenance role for someone who is comfortable working around critical mechanical and electrical equipment and enjoys troubleshooting problems, performing equipment rounds, and keeping facility systems operating safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will bring strong boiler and chiller experience, along with hands-on knowledge of HVAC, pumps, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and facility utilities.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, pumps, and facility utility equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical facility systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and assist with equipment recovery
- Conduct routine equipment rounds, inspections, and operational checks
- Monitor facility systems and respond to alarms and abnormal operating conditions
- Utilize BMS/BAS or SCADA systems to monitor equipment and facility performance
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment documentation
- Follow established safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, operating logs, and work orders
- Support emergency response activities when equipment or facility issues occur
- Coordinate with engineers, technicians, contractors, and vendors as needed
- 3+ years of experience in facilities operations, plant operations, industrial maintenance, critical facilities, or a similar environment
- Strong hands-on boiler and chiller experience required
- Experience working with HVAC systems, pumps, mechanical equipment, and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills
- Working knowledge of facility and industrial safety procedures, including LOTO
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment problems
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and equipment drawings
- BMS/BAS or SCADA experience preferred
- Must be able to work day shift during the training period and transition to night shift as required
Experience with in a critical or highly regulated industrial environment is especially valuable, including:
- Semiconductor manufacturing
- Data centers / mission-critical facilities
- Power generation
- Nuclear facilities
- Chemical or process manufacturing
- Large industrial/manufacturing facilities
We're looking for someone who is genuinely hands-on.
