The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. The position requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate documentation and budget oversight. The Senior Technician also provides hands-on training and supports continuous improvement efforts to uphold quality and operational excellence across Walmart facilities.

The team ensures efficient facility operations by performing preventive and reactive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems. They conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs while adhering to safety and environmental standards. Collaborating with suppliers and contractors, the team enhances maintenance processes and integrates innovative tools to optimize system performance. Their dedication supports operational excellence and maintains quality standards, fostering a reliable and well-maintained environment that upholds safety and functionality for all stakeholders.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair facilities and equipment using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Lead and oversee work of less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and guidance.
• Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to ensure quality and compliance.
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Document maintenance activities, budget information, and warranty claims accurately and timely.
• Identify and address safety hazards and equipment malfunctions promptly.

• Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines, ensuring compliance in all maintenance activities.
• Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor coordination to support operational efficiency.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in training, mentoring, and overseeing less-experienced associates and serving as job foreman.
• Proficient in documenting maintenance activities, compiling budget information, and submitting warranty claims accurately.
