The Housekeeper cleans and sanitizes rooms for existing residents and prepares rooms for new residents.

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• performs housekeeping, laundry, janitorial tasks and minor repairs as assigned
• monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks
• familiarizes self with cleaning schedules of residents
• logs janitorial and repair requests and ensures their completion
• cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas
• sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor
• changes linens weekly or as needed
• cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
• washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork
• washes windows, door panels, and sills
• empties wastebaskets
• transports trash and waste to disposal area
• replenishes bathroom supplies as needed

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 0-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• ability to multitask
• ability to be flexible with their schedule
• genuine interest in the elderly

While performing the duties of this job, the employee:

• is regularly required to talk or hear
• is frequently required to walk and stand
• must often use their hands to grasp and hold objects
• is regularly required to sit
• must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

While performing the duties of this job:

• the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and toxic or
  caustic chemicals
• the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Full-time position;
Tuesday - Sunday 9am - 5 pm
