Regional Facilities Manager

Uline Inc., a leading North American distributor of shipping, industrial and packaging materials, is seeking a Regional Facilities Manager to join our Facilities, Maintenance & Asset Management team. In this role, you will oversee maintenance programs, building systems, and asset reliability across multiple locations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. You'll lead facility projects, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of facilities, maintenance, and asset management operations across a defined region of Uline distribution and logistics locations.
• Ensure high equipment and facility uptime to support 24/7 distribution and logistics operations, minimizing disruption to shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for material handling equipment, building systems, and critical infrastructure.
• Manage the full lifecycle of facilities assets, from planning and acquisition through maintenance and replacement, aligning with Uline's capital planning and budgeting processes.
• Create and manage regional facilities and maintenance budgets, tracking spending, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring alignment with company financial goals.
• Select, negotiate, and manage third-party vendors and contractors for repairs, capital projects, and specialized maintenance services, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
• Leverage a CMMS and other reporting tools to track work orders, downtime, asset performance, and key facilities KPIs, using data to drive decisions and process improvements.
• Partner closely with distribution center leadership, operations, safety, and corporate real estate teams to ensure facilities priorities support business objectives and rapid order fulfillment.
• Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, fire and life safety codes, environmental regulations, and internal safety standards, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop a regional team of maintenance technicians and facilities staff through coaching, training, and clear performance expectations, promoting Uline's results-driven and collaborative culture.
• Oversee and coordinate facilities projects such as expansions, remodels, racking changes, and layout improvements to support growth and efficiency in distribution and logistics operations.
• Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives where practical, optimizing building systems and equipment to reduce operating costs while maintaining reliability.
• Prepare and present regular updates to senior management on facilities performance, risks, capital needs, and major project status for the region.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of facilities and maintenance team members to align with Uline's commitment to professional growth and career advancement.
