Full-time, 40 hours/week

Shift: Varied shifts with start times of 5:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 10:30 AM. Weekends and holidays required.

Pay: $21.00 $ 22.00 per hour + bonuses + annual pay increases

Stoneridge Creek is hiring a Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and team members. We are seeking dependable individuals with experience in custodial services, janitorial services, commercial cleaning, floor care, housekeeping, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, sanitation, environmental services (EVS), or porter services.

GENERAL

SUMMARY:

The Custodian is responsible for major floor care projects, public area cleaning and trash disposal.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

* Maintains floors and carpets within the Community.

* Picks up and removes trash from trash rooms, offices and other locations within the Community.

* Cleans all public areas.

* Provides preventive maintenance to housekeeping machines such as vacuums, carpet shampooers and floor machines.

* Completes all meeting rooms setups in auditorium, arts and crafts room, lobby, etc.

* Other assignments as needed to meet the needs of the community and the EVS department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Previous janitor experience strongly preferred

* Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.

* Previous floor maintenance experience strongly preferred but not required. Knowledge of floor care procedures, techniques, and supplies preferred, but not required.

* Ability to understand and follow in instructions in English and communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.

* Willingness to perform routines, repetitive tasks.

* Ability to drive utility vehicles

CRITICAL FUNCTION:

* This position is essential to the safety of our residents and staff; and to the operation and function of the community. Employee may be recalled to report to work for an emergency, unusual occurrence, resident care need, visit from regulatory/governing agencies or any other event deemed necessary by the Executive Director, Administrator, and designee.

* Ability to multitask, work on projects while answering phone and greeting visitors.

* Must display a friendly, courteous and helpful attitude toward the residents and the public.

* Ability to communicate effectively in English. Able to perform simple mathematics and basic knowledge of computer programs.

* High School graduate. General office and heavy phone experience preferred.

* Current drivers license.

* Legally Authorized to work in the United States
