TEMPORARY General Labor Commercial Property Management

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable General Laborer/Custodian/Groundskeeper to join our team for a temporary, full-time position. The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of common areas while assisting with grounds upkeep and landscaping duties. This role requires strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment both inside and outside the building.

• Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties in common areas of the building, including hallways and restrooms.
• Conduct landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, weed trimming, trim hedges, and maintaining garden areas.
• Seasonal:
  Shovel and salt sidewalks, driveways, and entrances during snowy conditions to ensure safety. Availability for weekend coverage if winter storm comes through.
• Maintain a neat and organized janitor’s room; ensure cleaning and maintenance supplies are well‑stocked through notification to Supervisor.
• Wash windows and ensure the building’s exterior is clean and presentable.
• Assist with inspecting the building for safety hazards and report deficiencies to the lead custodian and supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or grounds keeping work preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and landscaping tools.
• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions (rain, snow, heat).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, shovel snow, and perform other physical tasks throughout the day.
• Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and outdoor elements.
