Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview

Amentum is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a team of multi‑skilled technicians in Plymouth, MN. Typical hours Monday–Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, with flexibility for weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. The Supervisor reports to the Operations & Maintenance Manager and oversees technical support, safety training, audits, quality control, and day‑to‑day maintenance operations in a fast‑paced industrial manufacturing environment.

• People & Communication
  • Create inclusive, high‑performance work environment.
  • Maintain consistent two‑way communication with management and employees.
  • Handle personnel actions: employment, performance, disciplinary issues, scheduling, and overtime.
  • Protect company assets and demonstrate leadership integrity.
• Operational Excellence
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of Production Maintenance team.
  • Train and develop staff, estimate personnel needs, assign work, and meet deadlines.
  • Apply organizational policies consistently and document work requirements.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure accurate time accounting.
  • Participate in daily Customer Tier3 meetings and complete all supervisor responsibilities.

• 7 years of progressively responsible industrial or production maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to work in an aerial or scissor lift up to 30ft or higher.
• Valid driver’s license and security access badge.
• Willingness to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and occasional travel.
• Pass pre‑employment substance abuse test.
• No sponsorship for U.S. work authorization.

• Distinguish wire color codes and lift up to 50lb regularly.
• Climb ladders up to 10 times per shift; bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and stretch frequently.
• Walk extensively across facilities and perform repetitive wrist movements.
• Read, interpret documents, and operate computers and office equipment.
• Travel to other Amentum, customer, or vendor locations; occasional air travel.

• Wear steel‑toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, and other PPE as needed.
• Handle job stressors and maintain acceptable performance.

• Associate degree in industrial mechanical, electrical, or related trade.
• Experience managing multi‑skilled workforce and delivering positive results.
• Experience with CMMS, preferably Maximo.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access).
• Working knowledge of hand, power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor maintenance.
• Basic electrical knowledge for motor and fuse changes.

$39–$42 per hour (industry‑specific variance applies).
