Position: Pocatello High Mid Shift Custodian

Mid-Shift Custodian

Location: Pocatello High School

Posting Date: June 11, 2026

Closing Date: June 18, 2026 (best consideration; position remains open until filled)

Duration: Twelve‑month position

Schedule: Eight hours per day

Pay: $14.12 per hour

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Summary

The principal function of this position is to perform routine custodial general maintenance, cleaning, and grounds‑keeping tasks in school buildings and grounds to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment. Employees may also be assigned to minor maintenance duties in district facilities. The role is supervised by the Custodial Foreman and involves use of electrically powered cleaning equipment and cleaning substances, potentially hazardous.

Work includes outdoor tasks in inclement weather and requires physical exertion and heavy lifting (e.g., classroom and office furniture).

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
  • Some custodial experience preferred.
