Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all Mission Mountain Empowerment facilities and vehicles are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position plays a key role in maintaining a secure and comfortable environment for both clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and follow schedules for facility and vehicle maintenance.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including tasks completed, materials used, and time spent.
  • Submit maintenance checklists and reports to management in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize and respond to work orders, addressing urgent issues promptly.
  • Obtain bids from contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs and projects.
  • Troubleshoot and perform skilled repairs in electrical, plumbing, heating, and general remodeling.
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and minor repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Collaborate with staff and departments to coordinate facility needs and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and technologies to improve maintenance operations.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in facility and/or vehicle maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair practices.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Requirements
  • Required

    Education:

    High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Required Experience:

    Experience in general facilities maintenance or a related field; proven track record of successfully completing preventive maintenance tasks and managing maintenance schedules; experience in working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable; demonstrated expertise in electrical, plumbing, heating, and remodeling tasks; experience in vehicle maintenance and repairs is a plus.

    Strong knowledge of general facilities management and contracting; proficiency in performing electrical, plumbing, heating, and remodeling tasks; ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints; excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively; strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and submit checklists in a timely manner; ability to review work orders, obtain bids, and manage vendor relationships;

    strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide clear updates on maintenance activities; ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently; physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions; commitment to ensuring a safe and functional environment for individuals with disabilities and staff.
