City Central Overview

City Central is a modern, updated, Class A office building located in the heart of downtown Ponca City, Oklahoma. Operated by the Ponca City Development Authority (PCDA), City Central offers co‑working space, private offices, and event venues that serve entrepreneurs, established businesses, and the broader Ponca City community.

Position Summary

The Facilities & Events Specialist plays a vital front‑line role in keeping City Central beautiful for tenants, businesses, and visitors. This position is responsible for daily janitorial services throughout the 60,000 square‑foot, six‑story building, light maintenance and upkeep of all common areas, and hands‑on support during building events.

Work Schedule Standard Daily Schedule

This position operates on an early morning start to ensure City Central is clean, polished, and fully ready before tenants and visitors arrive for the business day.

  • 4:00 AM – 8:00 AM Janitorial services: cleaning offices and restrooms throughout all five floors of the building
  • 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM Unpaid Lunch Break
  • 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Light maintenance tasks and care of building common spaces, lobbies, hallways, and shared areas
Event Days – Split Shift

City Central hosts events approximately 1–2 times per month, with higher event frequency in May and December. On days when events are scheduled, the employee will work a split shift or half a shift if the event is held on a weekend day.

  • Complete the standard 4:00 AM – 8:00 AM janitorial shift as normal
  • Return during event hours to provide on‑site support for the event as needed
  • Total hours worked will be adjusted accordingly so the employee is not required to work a full standard shift on event days
Schedule Flexibility

While the standard schedule is 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM Monday through Friday, some flexibility in the daily end time may be offered when circumstances allow, particularly on non‑event days. May and December require the greatest scheduling flexibility due to elevated event activity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Janitorial Services (4:00 AM – 8:00 AM)
