KAW NATION POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Janitor

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Executive Director

CONTROLLING SUPERVISOR: Chair

PAY: $13.50 Hourly

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have the ability to keep at least two (2) buildings clean and in an orderly manner. Lifting and bending may be involved on a continuous basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Keep assigned area dusted, vacuumed, and trash emptied, including windowsill and blinds. Do not bother anything or clean employee desktops. Do not clean or bother any computers.

Wash windows inside on a periodic schedule. Outside windows will be professionally cleaned.

Ensures that janitorial/housekeeping supplies are replenished.

Clean and sanitize all bathrooms daily. Keep paper towels and toilet tissue stocked.

Mop and sweep tile floors daily.

Clean air vents on an as needed basis.

Vacuum all carpeted areas and treat any spots on the carpet.

Keep the parking lots clear of paper and debris.

Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and move freely without restriction.

Report any problem that should require knowledge of specific training to repair or correct to Immediate Supervisor.

Assist with/complete any other job duties that might be assigned.

All new applicants and hires will be required by the Kaw Nation to submit to an employment drug screen. Failure to pass the drug screen will lead to withdrawal of the job offer or termination of employment.
