Peak Season Repair Specialist
Provides a pathway to full‑time employment with Safelite. Utilizes industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs and delivers outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities- Learn to repair vehicle glass (classroom & hands‑on) based on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
- Repair chips, cracks and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.
- Manage work orders, customer documentation, and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
- Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
- Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools and chemicals utilized throughout the workday.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Competitive weekly base pay starting up to $18.75 per hour.
- Paid training and all the tools and resources needed to succeed.
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent (Preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other licenses required by law.
- On‑the‑job training / completion of Safelite Safe Tech certification (Required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods; assist with lifting windshields weighing 26–50 lbs.
- Standing for extended periods, working in tight spaces, bending and twisting.
- Using a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Operating a motor vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws; monitored via camera/video surveillance.
- Maintaining professionalism and passion for outstanding customer service.
- Working outside in varied weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
- Handling chemicals (including flammable) as per Safelite Way of Fitting.
- Scheduling flexibility to accommodate customer needs.
- Problem‑solving and troubleshooting independently and collaboratively.
- Reading, writing, and interpreting English and technical directions.
- Communicating orally (via phone) and written (via computer or other electronic means).
- Maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to uniform and PPE policies.
- Maintaining stable performance under pressure or opposition.
The position involves driving duties monitored through cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.
