To coordinate the daily custodial work and maintenance of assigned space, ensuring space is safe, clean, and functional for normal operations. Further, Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator I is responsible for using his/her independent judgment and discretion regarding monitoring of the problems, dispute resolution of programs, and team supervision.

Performance Standards
  • This position serves as both a supervisor and a frontline team member performing daily custodial and janitorial duties within assigned areas, ensuring spaces are clean, safe and adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Address operational issues in real time and accelerate when necessary. Communicate maintenance-related issues, janitorial, inventory needs, and schedule changes clearly with staff and management.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment to ensure adequate stock levels and operational readiness.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of reconfiguration and organization of assigned spaces and supplies; participate in specialized repairs, projects, and events as needed.
  • Carry out other duties as directed by the Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator II.
  • Supervise assigned staff of two or more people. Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator I shall have hiring, firing, and disciplining responsibilities in concert with the Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator II.
  • Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of facilities maintenance experience required, three (3) years.
  • One (1) year of experience of planning and scheduling workloads required.
  • One (1) year of experience using computer applications in a Window environment and other database applications required; experience with Microsoft 365 is a plus.
  • Valid Driver’s License and meets the minimum Driver Acceptability Requirements. No recorded Type Aviolations within the past three (3) years.

    • Walk: 3 hours- assisting staff, mail delivery and pickup

    $820.80 per week plus shift premium;
