You'll lead a skilled team of tradesmen and coordinate with OEM service providers to deliver exceptional maintenance service through Total Productive Maintenance processes. This hands-on leadership position combines technical expertise with people management, requiring you to optimize preventative maintenance programs, respond swiftly to equipment issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Working within a represented labor environment, you'll be the bridge between front-line maintenance execution and strategic operational goals, directly contributing to equipment uptime, safety excellence, and cost efficiency. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on critical facility operations while developing your team and advancing maintenance best practices.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:
  • Lead and develop a team of Mechanical and Electrical Tradesmen, optimizing their capabilities through skills development, proper tools, and technology deployment while operating within the JLL/UAW Collective Bargaining Agreement framework.
  • Manage vendor relationships with OEM and outside service providers, ensuring compliance with Management of Change (MOC) and Safety Contract Management (SCM) processes while coordinating service delivery.
  • Oversee work order management through Corrigo and Maximo systems, prioritizing preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and minor projects to meet customer needs and KPI metrics.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical control systems on critical lab equipment, providing technical guidance and hands-on support to resolve complex maintenance issues.
  • Deliver Fast Response reporting for customer disruptions, coordinate weekend and holiday shutdown planning through the Interruption Process, and collaborate with Department Leads and Plant Engineering.
  • Support Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) and Business Plan Development (BPD) processes while driving continuous improvement in Total Productive Maintenance metrics and operational excellence.
  • Lead safety initiatives including pre-task safety planning, timely incident reporting and monitoring, 100% safety PM completion, and maintenance of zero recordable and lost workday case injuries.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial facility environment with demonstrated technical proficiency.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience managing maintenance personnel in a represented worker environment with knowledge of collective bargaining agreement operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems including general HVAC, motor and pump systems, piping systems, electrical systems, and general building repair.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different audiences and present complex technical information clearly.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with demonstrated progression in maintenance and leadership roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access for reporting and documentation purposes.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), particularly Corrigo and Maximo platforms.
  • Familiarity with Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Knowledge of Management of Change (MOC) processes, Safety Contract Management (SCM), and OEM equipment maintenance protocols.
