Field Technician Heavy Equipment

As a Field Technician at Mac Allister CAT, you will serve as a Service Specialist supporting customers at their work site. You will perform maintenance and repair on customer fleet to keep them producing output.

• Diagnose problems with equipment/engines.
• Perform all repairs associated with the diagnosis that are possible out in the field.
• Locate and order parts as required; if necessary coordinate with parts drivers to get parts to your work site.
• Write up detailed service reports for both internal and external requirements.
• Maintain own equipment.
• Build productive customer relationships to benefit all involved.

• Proven track record of performing and fixing equipment/engines in a timely manner to the required quality and standard.
• Self-motivated and self-manage time.
• Promptness to get to and from work on time.
• Strong communication and listening skills, understanding customer needs and performing necessary work.
• Strong writing skills to complete detailed service reports.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Current Class A CDL.
