ABOUT THE POSITION

The Move Technician supports the Space Planning team by performing office moves, furniture installations, workspace reconfigurations, deliveries, and minor furniture repairs. This role helps maintain safe, functional, and efficient work spaces while providing responsive support for day-to-day business operations.

This role requires to be onsite at our Headquarters in Portland, OR Monday through Friday.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
  • Perform office, workstation, and furniture moves.
  • Install, assemble, and reconfigure office furniture and equipment.
  • Support employee onboarding and workspace setup activities.
  • Deliver and transport furniture, equipment, and supplies between locations.
  • Perform minor furniture repairs and adjustments.
  • Read and follow floor plans and workspace layouts.
  • Assist with conference room, training room, and event setups.
  • Respond to facilities service requests and work orders.
  • Maintain organized storage areas, loading docks, and inventory spaces.
  • Operate company vehicles and moving equipment safely.
  • Conduct basic vehicle inspections and secure loads properly.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, damaged furniture, or maintenance concerns.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
YOU HAVE
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Oregon Driver License with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and moving equipment.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in facilities, commercial moving, furniture installation, warehouse, or maintenance work.
  • Familiarity with modular office furniture systems and cubicles.
  • Experience using work order management systems.
  • Experience operating box trucks or cargo vans.
Work Environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying.
  • Work performed in office buildings, storage areas, loading docks, and occasionally outdoors.
  • May occasionally require early morning, evening, or weekend work to support move schedules and business operations.
