SEASONAL AIRPORT MAINTENANCE WORKER

The Portland International Jetport is seeking to fill four Seasonal Maintenance Worker positions within the Airport Maintenance Department. These positions offer candidates a flexible schedule, with the option to work 40-hours per week, part-time, or on an as needed basis after training is completed.

• Learn from and work alongside a dedicated, experienced union Maintenance team, with a focus on ensuring the safety and operational readiness of Maine’s largest and busiest airport.
• General maintenance of the airfield and terminal buildings.
• Snow removal with specialized pieces of equipment along with other duties assigned.
• Operate large equipment on airport runways and taxiways on PWM’s airfield.
• Collaborate on projects with other airport divisions.

• A reliable worker with a positive attitude
• Ready to learn complex equipment and work in a fast paced, high stakes environment.
• A team player who works well with others, but can also get the job done independently
• Must be dependable and have a clean driving record
• Successful completion of TSA background check per TSA part 1542 is required.

• Prior winter operations/large equipment snow removal experience is preferred, but not required.
• Maine CDL license holders are preferred but not required.
• Applicants with a CDL will need to pass a federally mandated drug screening.

Standard Monday
- Friday, 1st or 2nd shift schedules available with flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays during snow events with advanced notice.

Seasonal positions begin as early as October 15, 2026 and end on April 15, 2027.

This is a temporary, seasonal position, not eligible for benefits. The pay rate is $30 per hour, overtime after 40 hours/week.
