The maintenance agent performs cleaning, maintenance, and tidying up of surfaces, premises, and equipment for the community. They are responsible for the routine maintenance of the materials and machines used, as well as the decontamination and disinfection processes of premises and equipment according to hygiene and safety regulations. They also control the supply of materials and products, and must ensure the safety of users of the premises (marking slippery areas…).

Maintain the cleanliness of administrative, technical, or specialized premises (cleaning of floors, furniture, sanitary facilities, and kitchens) Dust surfaces, sort and dispose of ordinary waste, ventilate spaces, supply soap and hand towel dispensers, ensure the safety of users of the premises (marking slippery areas, use of dangerous products…), manage the supply of materials and products, clean, tidy, and maintain equipment at the end of operations, detect and report any anomalies or malfunctions.

Being autonomous, organized, and rigorous are essential qualities for the role of a maintenance agent. They often work alone and thus guarantee the proper completion of operations. Knowledge of the operation and use of devices and equipment, mastery of cleaning and disinfection procedures, knowledge of hygiene and safety rules (use of dangerous products, use of machines…), knowledge of work gestures and postures to adopt.
